Solace’s Meadow is closed. If you really need to contact me, you can contact me at solaces.meadow@gmail.com. Also, there is the possibility that there will come a time where I don't want to pay for this domain anymore, so if you see bases you like, now would be the time to save ‘em.

22.04.08:
This site has been dead for about two years now, so it was high time I made it more official like. I apologize to everyone who’s been left hanging, especially those waiting for the awards of my old contest. A lot of people put quite some effort into it, and i really should have gotten them up sooner. Unfortunatly my personal Troubles, coupled with loosing my attraction to dolling, put this place on hold.
Several times I started to make a new layout, intending to start afresh, but they pretty much fell through. But it’s time to stop pretending that I’ll go back to the old days where I updated once a week, or once a month, and dolled just as often.
But I didn’t want to leave it with the old layout, so I cooked up this one something quick when I felt inspired before I lost it again.
I might add something here once in a while, as I can still get the itch, but we’d better not all hold our breaths on that one ;)

What I’m up to:
I’ve long wanted to draw and paint well, but these past two years I have actually taken steps to achieve it. It’s endless practice and quite a lot of frustration, but it is satisfying to look back on older works and see that despite ones opinion you have actually improved.
You can see some of my work on my Deviant art page.
I’ve found it more manageable than my own website, but I can still be very sporadic in my efforts.
I’m also writing a book, which I hope to one day get published. It’s slow going, but I’m about 1/3 of the way in with another 1/3 plotted out. Ideally, once I’m better at this drawing and painting business, I’ll make a cool website for it, and if the publishers won’t bite, I might try getting it out myself.

Something new, Something gone:
I have actually made a few things over the two years. Six dolls in the fantasy section, and 11 new bases, all male. I’ve also, at long last, posted the awards from A Night on the Moore.

On the other hand, due to downsizing and laziness I left some old dolls, awards given to me, some gifts and a lot of my old bases out.
I removed some of my bases on the ground of them being too ugly, but I also took out the Nati collection. Years ago I got permission to use her art for making bases, but it does not feel right anymore.
And I didn’t bother about learning some anatomy for nothing you know.
My bases are now exactly that, 100% mine.
